NMSCH FALL 2022 WORKSHOP:

Northeastern Mountain Society of Clinical Hypnosis Level 1 Workshop

11AM FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28  –  5PM SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2022

Jackson Gore Inn at Okemo Mountain Resort
Ludlow, Vermont

The Northeastern Mountain Society of Clinical Hypnosis (NMSCH) Level 1 Workshop is the first of two workshops in the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) certification program.  It is designed for licensed health professionals including physicians, nurses, psychologists, dentists, counselors, social workers, and those in related fields.  Incorporating hypnosis into a clinical practice allows your clients/patients to become even more deeply aware of their inner states and fosters awareness of their own strengths, resources and problem-solving abilities. The effectiveness of hypnotherapy in treating a number of mind-body conditions, expediting habit change, facilitating pain management and enhancing treatment of depression and anxiety has been extensively demonstrated by research.

The workshop is a mix of didactic presentations, demonstrations, experiential exercises, and faculty-led small group practice focused on the principles and processes of hypnotic elicitations, suggestions, and treatments.  It is designed to meet the needs and learning styles of each participant. At the conclusion of the workshop participants will have been taught the basic skills required to utilize clinical hypnosis and begin to apply it to their practice. This is an in-person workshop.

The faculty are some of the leading hypnosis practitioners in the northeast and have taught hypnosis workshops extensively for decades.
Advantages of adding clinical hypnosis to your armamentarium:

  • Rapidly establish rapport and the hypnotic relationship across developmental ages.
  • Facilitate change, ego-strengthen, and reduce impediments to change.
  • Cost-effective, collaborative, person-centered treatment.
  • Empower clients and patients to build skills for better health.
  • Learn a highly creative, broad-ranging technique for use in integrative medicine.

NMSCH WINTER 2022 Virtual Workshop:

The Hands Have It:
Ernest Rossi’s Ideodynamic Hand Techniques for Mind/Body Communication and Healing

with Delle Jacobs, LICSW, LMFT
January 29, 2022

ABCs of the Synergy of CBD, THC & HYP

Opportunity for 4.5 CEs for Psychologists, Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors sponsored by the Northeastern Mountain Society of Clinical Hypnosis –  Delle Jacobs, LICSW, LMFT is presenting The Hands Have It:  Ernest Rossi’s Ideodynamic Hand Techniques for Mind/Body Communication and Healing.  The workshop was held virtually via Zoom on January 29, 2022 from 10AM – 3PM EST.  These ideodynamic hand techniques were taught to Delle by Ernest Rossi.  Utilizing ideodynamic hand techniques in hypnosis enhances involuntariness, dissociation, primary process thinking and deeper level mind/body communication. Hypnosis functions as the gateway. This workshop teaches the techniques utilizing hypnosis.

The techniques lend themselves to exploring conflicts, effecting habit change, and symptom exploration. It enables decision-making of a higher order. The power of ideodynamic exploration is that it accesses unconscious processes, while providing the novelty in learning that likely activates neurogenesis.

Whether you practice as a MEDICAL health provider or a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH provider, it is safe to say that when you are at your best, you are providing a container: a safe, healing space, offering patients/clients a look into their deepest fears, their vulnerabilities, and their inherent ability to resolve symptoms, disease or distress.  Providers will experience more efficacy in patient care outcomes when utilizing mind/body interventions such as the Two-Handed Technique.

Emphasis will be on an explication of Ernest Rossi’s ideodynamic hand techniques, a demonstration, and practice opportunities to enable effective use in both self-hypnosis and in working with clients/patients.

ASCH approved for 4.5 hours of advanced workshop

Beyond talk therapy – you will learn when it’s appropriate and how to be able to suggest CBD, THC and clinical hypnosis when talk therapy isn’t enough.

The documented use of plants as medicine dates back at least 5,000 years and is common to all races and peoples through-out history.  Using the power of the mind through suggestion, imagination and belief to enhance health and healing, and ease suffering is also timeless and cross-cultural.

This six hour over two days virtual online workshop will describe the synergistic benefits of clinical hypnosis and the endocannanabinoid system in the treatment of physical and emotional distress.  Many states have legalized marijuana for medical and/or recreational uses.  It is important for health professionals to understand the law, the differences in the effects of CBD and THC, and which patients might benefit from use.  The efficacy of clinical hypnosis as a therapeutic modality is well established and can be used in addition to ease pain, decrease anxiety, reduce inflammation and improve sleep .  New research based on technological modalities, neuroimaging and physiological studies have paved the way to better scientific understanding of the mechanisms of hypnosis and the effects of CBD and THC on the brain and the body.

The workshop will include presentations by experts in the fields of clinical hypnosis and medical marijuana.  There will be a panel discussion and the demonstration of hypnotic techniques that can immediately be incorporated into clinical practice.
